Locking Jaws
Innovative integral locking jaws® deliver a quick snap-fit design. Each reversible strip has 2 Jaws® on either side, fitting 30 mm depth panels and 35 mm depth panels. No adhesive, silicone, scews or clips are needed for installation. The Jaws® simply lock onto the panel in one smooth motion, gripping firmly and securely to the sides. This design preserves panel warranties and enables quick removal for periodic maintenance.
Trim to size
All 9 prongs have 3 cutting guide lines at 50 mm, 60 mm and 70 mm. These can be used to trim the prongs to fit undulating roof tiles exactly, to give a smart, discreet finish.
Long Life Expectancy
The Defender Jaws® is a single mould, made from UV stabilised polycarbonate. Designed for direct sunlight, its UV stability prevents the material from becoming brittle. The addition of black dye not only makes the Jaws visually discreet, it also significantly improves the UV resistance. It absorbs UV light and converts it into thermal energy, protecting the polymer from cracking and long term degradation.
Extra Protection Thistle Posts
Uniquely, each Jaws® strip has 2 small posts on the top. These are designed to attach a strip of
Defender Thistle® along the full length.
Occasionally displaced birds might sit along the top edge of an array of panels; the addition of Thistle to the Jaws® humanely moves them on. As the Thistle strips are attached to the Jaws®, there is no damage or risk to the panels themselves.
